A maximum of 20 students may attend the Junior Conservatory and are registered on a first-come first-served basis.

PARENTS BEWARE: An early appreciation of Shakespeare may cause improved literacy, creativity, and self-expression.

The Junior Youth Theatre Conservatory is a fun-filled program that provides participants with the opportunity to build confidence and strengthen their love for the performing arts. It's open to students in grades 5 to 8. The program culminates with a workshop presentation for friends and family, that showcases what the students learned over the three weeks.

Through their participation in this program students will expand their knowledge in areas such as:

  • acting
  • performance creation
  • voice, and,
  • movement.

The Country Day SchoolThe Conservatory is housed in The Country Day School's Performing Arts Centre in King City, ON, a state-of-the-art facility boasting a theatre, drama/music classrooms, wardrobe and set construction workshops and a classroom that has been specially designed for technical production instruction.
