The Young Company was founded in 1999 to provide young people who have a desire to pursue a career in the arts with hands on experience as performers, technicians and theatre administrators. Some of the goals of this program include:
- to allow apprentices the chance to learn from established and professional artists;
- to provide classes in areas such as voice, movement & acting;
- to instill a knowledge of how a professional production works;
- to create an environment where young people can begin to make contacts & gain professional experience that will be valuable in establishing themselves as professional artists.
