Rosemary divides her professional time between acting, directing and teaching. Recently she directed The Attic, The Pearls, and Three Fine Girls in Sudbury, Ontario, Fighting Words and Walking on Crimson in Toronto, Ontario, Dinner with Friends in Montreal, Quebec, and Wuthering Heights in Hamilton, Ontario. As an actress, last season she was seen in The Domino Heart in Toronto, and in The Glass Menagerie in Montreal. She received the Masque Award for her performance in Wit in Montreal, the first English speaking actress to be given this honour. Her many television and film appearances include the title role in Mom P.I., Katherine Brooke in the Sequel to Anne of Green Gables, and more recently roles in Dreamcatcher, The Interrogation of Michael Crowe and Profoundly Normal. She teaches acting and directing actors at the Canadian Film Centre, Equity Showcase, National Theatre School, Shortworks Halifax and the University of Toronto. This fall in Toronto, she directs Hockey Mom, Hockey Dad at the Factory Theatre and will appear with Seann Gallagher in The Glass Menagerie in the spring of 2004. She was chosen in 1990 for Maclean's Magazine Honour Roll as a "Canadian who makes a difference".
