David McIlwraith last appeared on stage in Toronto as Gaev in The Cherry Orchard. His most recent Shakespeare role was Polixenes in The Winter's Tale for Huntington Rep in Boston. He has appeared in David Mamet's Oleanna in Calgary and as Walt Whitman in the Canadian premiere of John Murrell's Democracy. He is familiar to television audiences as the host of Harrowsmith Country Life and as Dr. Murdoch in YTV's Vampire High. He has recently been seen in two highly acclaimed mini series, Trudeau for the CBC and Nuremberg for TNT. He is currently directing films for CBC's Rough Cuts and The Aboriginal People's Television Network.
