1999 SEASON
This fall Gordon will celebrate his third anniversary as Artistic Director of Montreal's famed Centaur Theatre. A professional director, actor, playwright, screenwriter, and producer for over twenty-five years in Canada and abroad, Gordon is the Founder and first Artistic Director of the acclaimed Shakespeare On The Saskatchewan Festival of Saskatoon. His contributions to the creation of innovative and accessible Shakespearean productions for people of all ages have been nationally recognized. He is honoured to be directing the first production of Resurgence Theatre and continuing a professional relationship with the talented founders of the Festival that began a few years ago when he was a guest professor at Ryerson University. Following this engagement, Gordon will leave for Europe where he will be one of a group of Artistic Directors from across the country representing Canada at the Edinburgh Festival. Upon his return he will begin rehearsals for the Centaur Theatre/Canadian Stage national tour of Michel Tremblay's outstanding new play For The Pleasure of Seeing Her Again. This season for Centaur he will also direct The Crucible by Arthur Miller, The Gin Game starring Douglas Campbell and Viola Leger, and the world premiere of Venus of Dublin by Marianne Ackerman. 1999 SEASON | ||
